Hattie Hattie is a 1 ½ year old Pit Bull mix and weighs about 40 pounds. She has potential with other dogs, and loves to be around people. Hattie is cuddly and oh-so-sweet. She likes to snuggle into blankets as far as she can. She is petite and pretty. If you are interested in meeting Hattie, visit or contact the shelter!  Toffee Toffee is a 4-5 year old female that has been waiting for a home since June "08. She enjoys petting and sometimes is okay to be held or sit on your lap, but it is all on her terms. She loves to look out the window. Her favorite spots to perch are on garbage can lids so she can look down on everything going on and get plenty of pats on the head by passerbys. She is tolerant of other animals, but her ideal home would be where she is the only pet. She can be a little moody and feisty and would be best with in a home with adults or older children. She has no special needs or health issues, she just happens to be everyone's 2nd choice. She would prefer if interested parties go slow with her and allow her to sniff their hand before they pet her. Once she is okay with you, she really gets excited about petting, she may even drool. She can be held but is not very comfortable with it. She prefers petting in the cage. At times, you can catch her playing with a toy but most of the time she is snuggled up in her nesting box. He seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and may get along with cats as well. Max is housebroken, but may need a little time to adjust to a new schedule. He is pretty laid back and loves to relax, although will get excited and play if you want him to. He will usually wait for permission to come with you on the furniture and enjoys sitting by you for company. If you are interested in Max, contact or visit the shelter. Lindi Lindi is a very cute, fun, energetic, playful female kitty. She has potential with other cats but it is not known how she would be with dogs. Lokita Lokita is around 1 ½ years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She loves to play and go on walks. Lokita is a big wiggle butt who can't wait to find a home that will appreciate her as much as she will love them back! Meet Mustang Mustang is a Lab/Shepherd mix (his mother was a purebred yellow lab) around 11 months old and weighs about 65 pounds. He is a fun goofy boy that gets along well other dogs and loves to play. He is a little shy at first but warms up very quickly. He is sweet and affectionate. 	Juliet Juliet is a 6 month old Pit Bull mix and will probably grow to be a medium to large size dog. She just returned from being in a foster home for 2 weeks where she enjoyed playing with their dogs and children. Juliet is doing well with her crate-training. 	Fife Fife is a 2 year old Foxhound that weighs about 55 pounds. He does GREAT with other dogs here. This smart boy knows several tricks and is eager to please. 	Alston Alston came to the shelter with a leg injury. Unfortunately, the bad leg had to be removed. She is still adjusting to life here at the shelter and is a little shy. 	Q-Bert Q-bert is a quiet 7 year old male kitty. He enjoys being petted and sometimes being held. He is a little shy in new places and around new people but he just needs a little time to warm up. 	Frankie Frankie is an 8-10 months old Boxer/Shar Pei mix. He weighs approximately 50 pounds. Frankie enjoys the company of other dogs, and has play dates here at the shelter often. He is currently being treated for a non-contagious skin issue, and is rapidly improving. Frankie is a goofy boy who absolutely loves to have fun. 	Johnny Johnny is a young male kitty who enjoys attention and doesn't mind being held. He came in with a very bad injury to his neck due to owner neglect. His wound is finally almost healed and he is ready to find a home that will love him and protect him against bad things. He can be quite vocal at times but mostly is very quiet and laid-back. He really loves wet food and cat treats and gets very excited when he gets some. Because he is still healing, it is not known how he would be with other cats or dogs. 	Aurora and Ciarra Aurora and Ciarra are 3 year old sisters that have been together since birth. They get along with other cats and dogs but would prefer a home without children. 	Meet Versace! Versace is approximately 3 years old Pit Bull/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and weighs about 45 pounds. She is a striking golden color and a very loving girl. Sometimes she is shy with new people, but she comes around quickly. Versace will calmly sit beside you to be petted as long as you want to. She is a very intelligent girl who knows "sit," "sit pretty," and how to shake with both paws. She is playful, loves going for walks and walks great on a leash. 	Meet Arcadia! Arcadia is a beautiful 3 year old Pit Bull / Great Dane mix and weighs around 70 lbs. She does great with everyone she meets and has potential with dogs and cats. Arcadia has been at the shelter a whole year and we don't know why! She is very well mannered and loves to go on walks. She graduated from basic obedience class here at the shelter and has proven to be a very smart student and eager to please. She knows sit, lay down and is working on "roll over." She can get rambunctious at times, but knows when to settle down, and would love to snuggle with you in bed if you let her. She loves to play and tennis balls are her absolute favorite thing! She will fetch, catch and play for hours with her tennis ball. We know she will make a wonderful family addition, and she has been waiting patiently.
